Overview
Camshafts are our most popular product, and for good reason – they are pound for pound – the best cams on the market for your LS7. These cams have become the benchmark for 5th Gen Camaro Z28’s and C6 Corvette Z06’s all over the country.
Although these camshafts were designed with naturally aspirated motors in mind – because centrifugal blowers maintain a very similar, linear power curve as NA – these cams work beautifully with centrifugal blowers. Great option to keep in mind if you are naturally aspirated now – but are later planning on adding boost.
We have 3 different iterations of this very popular camshaft – from mild performance increase with nearly stock manners, to all out N/A race applications.
Choose your spec
The SS1 LS7 camshaft will provide a mild performance idle and performance improvement throughout the RPM range. Our smooth lobe design offers quiet valve train operation and longevity. We designed this camshaft for use in cars with minimal modifications. Idles stable around 675 RPM, and is very strong off idle to 7000 RPM.
The SS2 LS7 camshaft will provide a moderate performance idle and strong performance improvement through the mid-range and upper RPM range. It rivals the torque output of the SS1 but packs on about 10-15 additional horsepower up top. Strong to 7200 RPM.
The SS3 LS7 camshaft will provide a performance idle and very strong performance improvement through the upper mid-range to high RPM. This is the perfect cam for the hardcore street / strip enthusiast, and makes more torque and horsepower than our SS1 and SS2 LS7 cams. Very strong to 7400 RPM. Track tested, developed, and proven!
I want to take a few moments to thank you and your team for a job well done. The last round of modifications to my car could not have been any more on target with my goals.
The character and commitment you exemplified throughout the process was nothing less than a truly great experience. It demonstrated many things that should be present in all businesses but unfortunately are more often times not.
Here’s what I feel are the specifics that make this cam a perfect fit for me.
1. It runs on pump gas (93)
2. The idle clearly reveals a cam change but isn’t about a massive overlap just for show
3. The low speed higher gear drivability is outstanding (car can easily cruise at 1200 in 5/6 gear and not surge)
4. The low and mid-range pulls hard and consistently for the build level. More than expected.
5. The exhaust rich smell is much less than expected and no longer noticeable with windows up
6. The overall drivability really enhances enjoyment in all conditions without having make excuses for the quirks of a higher HP build
I have no hesitation to drive this car anywhere and never feel like I’ve asked you build something for my ego. I know the reliability is increased and the car is a lot more fun to drive.
I love higher HP cars but you well know that wasn’t my goal for this one. I think anyone that wants to fix the head issue and enhance the car while in there for daily driving, will love this package. Couple that with service and relationship experience you bring and I suspect there a lot of people like myself that would gladly pay for this if we truly knew beyond the shadow of a doubt what we’d be getting.
