These Chevrolet Performance LS Series Engine Blocks are driving a new generation of street and racing enthusiasts by providing a foundation for serious performance achievements. Chevrolet took a chance with the LS engine, staying true to the pushrod small block and continued to develop this technology to the point that building a daily-driven, 500-plus HP car is no big deal. These blocks are designed specifically to handle from 450-900 horsepower on LS-Series late model small block engines, which include the LS1, LS2, LS4, LS6, LS7, LQ4, LQ9, and L76. If you are building a full out track only racing engine or a mild street cruiser there is a strong and durable LS cylinder block available to assure that you produce the power you require safely!
Features:
- Deep-Skirt Casting (the block side extends below the crankshaft centerline)
- 6-Bolt Cross-bolted Main Caps
- Strong and Lightweight Aluminum Alloy Casting (most production blocks)
- Provisions for the latest in Engine Control Management
- 9.240″ Standard Deck Height
- 2.560″ Standard LS Crankshaft Journal Diameter
- 1-Piece Rear Main Seal
- Optional Wet or Dry Sump Oiling
Update to original post. Block uncrated, on engine stand and everything looks to be really good. Gwatney got it to me quickly as usual. Excited to get the 415 build going along with my custom cam from Ryan.
Haven’t even taken it out of crate. Will start after new years and will update then.
