Not a fan of the customer assistance on this product.

Updated 4/8/20: First off just wanted to apologize to gpi as I acted out of frustration when I purchased a defective katech throttle body that was no fault of there own I did not give gpi the proper amount of time to analyze the entire situation however with that being said they have been working with me very closely on this matter I’m happy to say the problem has been resolved and my 2018 Silverado runs and drives completely different now I would recommend the l83 to l86 swap to anyone looking for some bolt on performance I highly recommend using gpi as I will again sorry for this misunderstanding completely my fault gpi has been great I give them a 5 out of 5 for customer service

Q Does this TB fit a ported LT2 Intake manifold or does it require any kind of modification to fit? I am thinking on porting the LT2 intake to 95mm to match the TB

A With this throttle body you will have to tune it. It will cause some drivability concerns and a check engine light.

Q Have you guys dyno tested the katech ported or gpi ported throttle body and ported L86 intake manifold together on an L83? I'm curious to know the gains in hp and tq. I'm very interested in the product and wanted a professional opinion if the gains and engine response are decent. Thanks.

We have not tested the Katech throttle body. I have attached a link showing the dyno results we have experienced with the swap using the OE throttle body.

Q Is the L86 throttle body a larger bolt pattern than the L83 and are the harness connectors the same?

I'm not certain if the bolt pattern is larger, but the L86 throttle body will not bolt to the L83 manifold. The connectors are the same.

Q I am going to pair this with the ported L86 intake for my L83. Will my cold air intake sleeve fit over this throttle body or do I need an adapter? Thanks

Answered by the admin With enough muscle it will fit. An adapter would make installation easier, and possibly improve airflow through throttle body.
