This 3.91 Performance Gear Kit Package offers a lower (higher numerically) ratio rear drive gear, which will increase effective rear wheel torque multiplication (TM) in 2010-2015 SS Camaros. 13% TM increase with a manual transmission (standard 3.45 ratio) equipped vehicle, and 20% TM in an automatic (standard 3.27 ratio) equipped vehicle. Read more answer nowAsked by Eric on July 8, 2021 1:15 amA Eric - it's a bit of a complicated question once boost enters the equation, as it has a lot to do with how you're going to use the car. You are right that your 3.91's will likely be too much gear for this combination with the 6L80. I would consider a 3.45:1 rear gear from a 10-15 Camaro SS manual trans car as a good option from an economical gearing stand point. The OEM 3.27:1 from a 10-15 Camaro SS Automatic trans car will also work pretty well in boosted configuration, and the 3.23 from a 12-15 Camaro ZL1 automatic trans would be a good high strength option.
Thinking of doing this upgrade with the SS3 VVT cam but my fear is having the RPMs sitting too high at high gears as I do a lot of highway road trips..

I ran this gear in my 5th gen and drove from here (central Arkansas) to Panama City beach with 5c converter and averaged 14 mpg if I remember correctly running 70-80 most the way.

Hello, I have a Camaro 2015 v6 automatic, the differential is making noise when accelerating and is damaging the axle seals, any way since the mechanic is going to be working in the differential, i would like to upgrade lightly the differential . Do you have any suggestions?
