What kind of gains are expected over the unported LSXR? How does a ported LSXR compare to a ported and rodded LS3? Keeping money out of the equation and assuming you ran a middle of the road 95mm TB on both of them. That way neither has a real advantage or disadvantage.
Per the GPI LS3 manifold shootout there was minimal advantage over the ported and rodded LS3 for the LSXr. I'm wondering if this will make enough of a difference to make the decision for the LSXr with porting over the LS3 with rods and porting.
Again let's just talk performance and not cost.

Abreu on March 4, 2020 9:29 pmA On a stock cubic inch NA build, porting is only going to be single digit power gains and with a 95 mm tb, performance will likely be no better than a ported and modded LS3 intake. Thats what we saw in our testing.
