Description

The Cometic MLS gasket is comprised of three layers of Stainless Steel. The outer layers of the gasket are embossed and coated on bothsides with a flouroelastomer rubber based material (Viton)designed to meet the demands of a variety of harsh sealingenvironments, load conditions and surface finishes. The Vitoncoating is heat resistant to 250° C or 482° F.The center or shim layer of the gasket is comprised of anuncoated Stainless Steel layer, which can be varied toaccommodate multiple thickness requirements. The MLSgasket is ideal for both aluminum heads to cast iron blocks and aluminum heads to aluminum blocks.

The composition of MLS will also withstand the shearing forces created by aluminum heads on cast iron blocks. No re-torque is necessary. By design the MLS gasket promotes an even torque load across the sealing surface allowing for measurable reduced bore distortion.

    Hello I wanna know if these will help increase my compression on a lq4 with 823 heads ls3 intake and what injectors should I use to run e85 ?? What heads I think flow higher ported or milled 862 , 317 , or the 823 I got 456 gears and a 238/242 cam with a 4K stall thanks in advance!

    A You'll likely need to flycut when milling the heads or running a thinner head gasket with that cam

    A Yes you will, even .020 off the head is too close you need to clay the piston and check ptv
    4. Ok guys this my question i got a 1200hp fully built lsa engine for free from my brother but im going n/a with it on my c6, i know is a low comp engine but if i did go with .040 gaskets and stage 3 cam from u will i have any Issue with piston to valve clearance and that will rise enough the comp to make it worth it, sorry for such a long question.

    A You shouldn't have any issues but always good practice to check ptv clearance

Will I have any clearance issues with running the cosmetic 0.40 gaskets? And how much will it bump my compression up? I figured it would get my compression to at least 10.7:1. I live I California so we only have 91 pump gas not 93. Could I go with an even thinner cometic gasket to take me to 10.8:1 ?

    A You can run the .040 gasket and it'll bump you up to 10.7 but thats the most you can get away with on that cam

    Probably not enough, really only for sure is to check it. But by the measurements we know for sure it will be too tight.
